A Welcome from the Mayor!
From Mayor Denise Ruleau:
Welcome to our web site. The City of Marinette first went on the Web in 1997 and we are currently updating this site to incorporate the many suggestions we have received to make this site more informative and inviting to our visitors.
The City of Marinette, an inland seaport, is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan’s Green Bay and at the mouth of the historic Menominee River. These wonderful natural resources provide our residents and visiting tourists opportunities for some of the finest fishing and boating experiences in the Great Lakes region. Additionally, camping, biking, snowmobiling, ice skating and ice boating enthusiasts find Marinette an excellent rendezvous for summer and winter sports and recreation. Businesses find our modern industrial parks and skilled workforce an excellent match for their expansion needs. In addition to an excellent K-12 school system, educational opportunities are available at the University of Wisconsin - Marinette two-year college and at the Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College.
Marinette is working hard to be Wisconsin’s favorite small city in which to live, work and enjoy the natural wonders that bless our shores. We invite our citizens and visitors to explore this Web site and to comment on its contents to help us improve the quality of the information provided. Feel free to e-mail the Mayor with any suggestions you may have.
