Annual GREAT STRIDES Cystic Fibrosis Walk
The 1st annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation GREAT STRIDES Marinette/Menominee walk will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Marinette City Park. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the walk beginning at 11 a.m. GREAT STRIDES Marinette/Menominee 2009 will be a fun, family-oriented walk event that brings people together to help "add tomorrows every day" to the lives of those with cystic fibrosis, by raising awareness and fundraising dollars to support vital research and care/education programs for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic fibrosis (cf) is a life-threatening, inherited disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Although there is currently no cure for this disease, you can help us fight this disease by participating in GREAT STRIDES Marinette/Menominee 2009. If you, or someone you know is interested in participating by joining the event committee, becoming a team leader, walker and/or volunteer, please contact us to get involved! For more information about this event, please call Lola Budzinski (Director of Special Events at CFF) at (920) 738-4938, (800) 472-7720, or visit the GREAT STRIDES website.
