July 4th Celebration
The annual 4th of July Festival on Stephenson Island will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011, from 8 AM to 10 PM and Monday, July 4 from 10 AM to 10 PM. The festival will feature a logging theme with the first ever, "Logging & Heritage Fest." Both days there will be plenty of activities for children and adults, inflatable jumpers--free to the public, on-site concessions, crafters, and plenty of music to entertain festival participants. Sunday will begin with a church service and "Wings of Eagles," a Marinette County gospel and bluegrass band will perform Sunday afternoon and at approximately 9:00 PM the movie "Yogi Bear" will be shown. On Monday, the festival swings into full gear with the parade at 10 AM followed by Parade Awards on the Island. At 6 PM local music sensation "Sunny and the Heat" will be performing. The night wrap up with a fireworks display at dark.
